Last month Darin received his Star rank along with 7 merit badges. What an accomplishment! He worked so hard over the summer earning badges both on his own and at scout camp. While at scout camp this year, Darin earned his rifle merit badge and also received a certificate from the National Rifle Association for hitting the target within a certain amount of shots. Most boys don't earn a certificate such as this because they are unable to hit the target within a given amount of hits, so we were really proud of Darin's success!
Darin was awarded his Star rank almost 5 months after he actually earned it so this month he is all ready on track to receive Life rank. We met with the scoutmaster today and Darin has been approved to move forward with his Eagle project. That's my boy!!!
